The Kimball High School Trap Shooting team will head to the MN Trap Shooting Championships on Sunday, June 16 in Alexandria. The Cubs are in class 7A and will be competing in Varsity, JV and novice (C-Squad). This is the State Qualifier Tournament. Trap Shooting is one of Kimball’s largest sports programs with 54 shooters. The State Tournament will be scheduled for next week.
This year’s Varsity Squad consists of Tayler Verhey, Cruz Gohmann, Alex Zoller, Mason Christensen, Hayden Hemmesch, Isaac Kilanowski, Tyler Wylie, Brody Hooper, Noah Merten, Sawyer Denny, Davis Berg, William Serbus, Ronnie Arnold, Nathan Just, Tiffany Young, Jonny Serbus, Gavin Mesenbrink, Keegan Lommel, Austin Decknatel, and Nathan Serbus.
This year's JV squad consists of Cole Lindberg, Owen Peterson, Wyatt Hayenga, Macy Hilsgen, Tanner Kueseke, Breyden St. Onge, Jackie Merten, Kayla Verhey, Emerson Lindberg, Erica Greenwald, Ryder Schwieters, Lucas Zimmerman, Clayton Adolph, Sam Anderson, Laney Laudenbach, Aiden Murray, Luke Greenwald, Caden Peterson, Isaac Gutwasser, Zoe Hommerding, Zach Amic, Peyton Hooper.
This year’s novice team consists of Eli Libbesmeier, Donovon Meyer, Cody Hendricks, Chayse Major, Alex Ludlow, Tyler Kiffmeyer, Claire Honer, Blake Kiffmeyer, Kolby Foster, Nolan Peterson, Hunter Orbeck, and Savannah Lommel.
Captains for the 2024 season are William Serbus and Aiden Murray.
The Cubs will graduate off 12 seniors at the conclusion of the Trap Shooting season: Alex Ludlow, Aiden Murray, Austin Decknatel, Cole Lindberg, Keegan Lommel, Hayden Hemmesch, Alex Zoller, Sam Anderson, William Serbus, Mason Christensen, Peyton Hooper and Nathan Serbus.
The Kimball Cubs will be shooting on house 4A and starting right away at 8:00am at the Alexandria Shooting Park, 6533 County Road 87 SE.
