
Happy New Year everyone, The Kimball junior high girls basketball season for 7th and 8th graders begins on Monday, Jan. 3, after school. Practices next week, Jan. 3-7, will be held at the Kimball elementary gym from 3:15-5:00 pm. Players should bring their practice clothes and a water bottle to school with them and ride bus #9 over to KES after school each day for practice. Please make sure all paperwork and activity fees are paid in the High School office before the end of school on Jan. 3. For those 7th graders who did not participate in a fall activity, paperwork for a physical is required in the High School office before participation can occur. All 7th and 8th grade girls basketball players will need a clearance card, please pick up in the High School office before the first practice. Our junior high girls basketball players had a trio of special visitors at practice last night. The Cubs welcomed back three of their 1,000 point scorers. Thank you Heidi Schwichtenberg '95, Tammy (Kuechle) Libbesmeier '03 and Melanie (Marquardt) Knaus '04 for sharing with the group your high school memories and experiences. The Wrestling Meet in Holdingford has been cancelled for tonight (Thurs., Dec. 16). The boys will have practice.


Kimball Area Public Schools will be opening 2 hours late on Thursday, December 16th due to icy road conditions. There will be no AM preschool and Cubs Club will open at 8:30 am.

There is still time to register for the upcoming Volleyball Setting Skills Camp on Dec. 18 from 9 am - 12 pm at the high school. St. Cloud State's Division II All-American setter, Maddy Torve, will serve as the head coach. Torve tabbed over 4,000 set assists in her collegiate career at SCSU and led the Huskies to the 2021 NSIC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, along with a berth to the 2021 NCAA Division II Regional Tournament. This camp will focus on the basics of setting for beginners and intermediate players. Torve will also touch on serving and digging skills. All players, boys and girls, in 6th-12th grade who are interested in learning from a high-level collegiate player are welcome!
