Kimball Area Youth Travel Basketball for girls (grades 4-6) and boys (grades 3-6) begins tonight, Nov. 4, from 6-8 pm at the high school. The parent meeting is scheduled at 6:00 pm in the Wirth Gym (park in the south lot and enter door #10). Practices for all youth travel teams will take place in the high school gyms after the meeting until 8 pm. Please bring a water bottle, dry shoes and practice clothes for your child's practice. The 2024 EV-W-K Cross Country banquet was held on Nov. 3 in Kimball. Congrats to all of the runners, especially senior Henry Lemke who finished 10th at the State Class AA Championships on Nov. 2, earning All-State honors by crossing the finish line at 16:04.6. Lemke finished his prep career as a five-time State qualifier and three-time All-State runner. Kimball had four seniors run this year: Jordyn Theis, Maleah Loch, Elaina Fink and Holly Truenow. The Cubs also had seven athletes earn ALL-CMC Acedemic honors by earning a 3.75 GPA or higher. Jordyn Theis and Henry Lemke were voted by their teammates for the P.R.I.D.E. award (Personal Responsibility In Daily Excellence). The MVP honors were awarded to Lemke and 8th grade runner Miley Kuechle. Way to go runners! #KimballProud









Kimball receives the #1 seed for the North, for the Class AA State Quarterfinals. We will play Moose Lake Willow River (#4 seed) in Brainerd on Fri., Nov 8 at 7:00. More info to come out next week! Let's do this!!!!!!!



Heading to STATE!!!! Kimball defeated Holdingford 26-20 for the Section 5-2A Championship and are State Bound for the first time since 1991!!! The Cubs are now 10-0!

Kimball Area Community Ed will offer Open Gym on Sunday nights from 6-8 pm at the Kimball Area High School during the winter months (Nov.-March). The first Open Gym will take place on Nov. 3. Park in the south lot and enter door #10. Admission is $3 per person or $5 for two family members. #KimballCommunityEd


Kimball Elementary School will be hosting a Veteran's Day Program to honor all current and past military members on Nov. 11 at 9:00 am in the elementary gymnasium. If you have any pictures of Veterans that have served in any of the 7 branches of the service, we would like to put a slide show together commemorating them. The picture can be sent in either digital format via email to joel.timmerman@kimball.k12.mn.us or an actual photo sent to the elementary office. All photos will be scanned and returned. Please provide the name of the service member and relationship to Kimball school students or staff. Also, any current or past military members attending will be recognized during the program. As part of Kimball's stay local program, the Kimball Lunch Program has partnered with Schiefelbein Farms and Redhead Creamery today, to bring in Black Angus Beef and cheese curds for a special Halloween lunch. Excited to see this meal in the school system are Schiefelbein Family members; Frank Schiefelbein V, Jonny Serbus and Mark Schiefelbein.

Alexandria Technical and Community College took students on a walk-through presentation of manufacturing and transportation careers. During the tour, students were able to visit with instructors and students in the manufacturing/construction and transportation/mechanics divisions and learn about the various programs within those divisions.
