A water sendoff marks the end of the school year with one of the student's favorite traditions at KES! Staff love this event as well and make sure to come equipped with plenty of buckets and water jets. Mr. Timmerman was even soaked with a bucket over the head as buses pulled out of the lot. Tomorrow is the official last day of school for the year and we wish all of the students a wonderful summer.

The whole school turned out today to watch the 5th grade students take on the staff in a spectacular game of kickball. We even had an "old", favorite staff member show up to pitch for both sides. It was a competitive match up, but in the end the students defeated the staff 16-10 and even the spectators had a great time!

2024 Asfeld Winner: Ben Foos! At their 10-year class reunion, the graduating class of 1976 voted to initiate the Jim Asfeld School Advocate Award. This award is given each year in memory of their classmate who died shortly after graduation from a brain tumor. The Jim Asfeld School Advocate Award is awarded to a senior student who unselfishly supports school programs and activities and displays good school citizenship, without having been recognized through existing award programs. The recipient is nominated by the entire faculty with the final selection made by a committee composed of the senior class advisor, counselor, and the principal. The recipient’s name is engraved on a plaque that is displayed in the trophy case.

A beautiful day for Annual Signing Day at KAHS.
