Speech Subsection results: Ellie Kuechle and Lexi Myers placed 3rd in Duo, Hunter Gebhardt placed 4th in Great Speeches, Elaina Fink placed 5th in Informative, and Maddy Groinus placed 4th in Original Oratory. All 5 students are moving on to Sections on Saturday, April 15th. Congratulations!
Kimball Youth Wrestling had 62 students in Preschool-6th grade participate in its 2022-23 winter season. Congratulations to all of our youth wrestlers, including six wrestlers who competed in the Northland Youth Wrestling Association Regions in New London-Spicer on March 25. Those six wrestlers included: Garret Rosenow - 4th place (Qualified for MN State Invite Tourney), Luke Fischer - 2nd place (Advanced to MN State Tourney), Eli Looman- 6th place – (Advanced to MN State Invite Tourney), Miles Looman - 5th place – (Advanced to MN State Invite Tourney), Kellen Landwehr and Ivan Cook. At the Jaycees State competition in Albany on March 26, Eli and Miles Looman placed 1st and 3rd overall, while Ivan Cook and Kellen Landehr each took home 1st place honors, respectively. The winter season wrapped up this past weekend at the National Youth Wrestling Association (NYWA) Minnesota State Invitational for youth individuals and teams in Rochester, MN. Kimball was represented by three grapplers at the event, including: Luke Fischer, Eli Looman and Miles Looman. Thank you to all of our volunteer coaches this winter as well. Kimball Area Community Ed has partnered with Kimball Christian Church to host the 2023 Easter Egg-stravaganza on April 8 from 9 am - 12 pm at the Kimball Area High School. The special event is free to the public and will feature an Easter Egg Hunt, Carnival, a Family Fun Run/Walk/Hop and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. All are welcome to come and enjoy some Easter festivities! #KimballCommunityEd
In 3rd grade science we learned about life cycles of plants and animals! The Landwehr family generously allowed for our classes to use their incubator and watch eggs hatch into chicks. We had a very successful hatching, resulting in 6 baby chicks being born! They also borrowed us a cage and heating panel to keep them in the room for a little while to watch them grow!

The Kimball Pastiche Show on March 20 was a success. Over 200 folks in attendance enjoyed looking at Art Club displays, listening to 90 music students perform, including speech presentations and solo and ensemble pieces. Thank you to those who bid on student-crafted silent auction items, which will benefit the Shop and Fine Arts Departments. #KimballProud
